Problem Solving
As students are explicitly taught specific cognitive strategys, problem solving software is associated with cognitive learning theory. Comparing to the drill and practice exercise, problem solving is much more sophisticated type of learning because computer presents complex problems in which students learns and improve their problem solving skills. Problem solving programs are designed to promote student's high thinking skills such as logic, reasoning, pattern recognition and strategies rather than solving through simply memorizing. Problem solving software is similar to simulation software because they often need to manipulate variables but problem solving software is generally category for teaching problem solving strategies where as simulation attempts to model real-life situations.
Multimedia encyclopaedia
Multimedia encyclopaedia stores a huge database with full text, still images, animation, audio and video. It can be used to access any desired information and even download relevant data for the compositions and presentations.
Electronic books
Electronic books is an electronic representation of a book. That is to say, instead of holding a book in your hands you merely hold a device and read the words on the screen. It presents textual information for reading and are supplemented with multimedia information like sounds, spoken voices, pictures and animations. It can can also be used by the students as a tutor to learn reading, spelling and word skills.
i think you have written perfect points but then if you could do more exploration apart from the points from the note, it would have been better. Thank you.

ReplyDeleteProblem Solving, It is is kind of software which help students to learn/solve a complicated problems.
Multimedia(full text, images, animation, audio and videos) is a software in which we can store vast information and even search information for learning.
Electronic books information for reading, but is supplemented with (Sound, spoken voice, picture and animation). Electronic books is used as a tutor to learn.
And i think it would have been batter if you had explain how those strategies could be integrated with the lesson in the classroom.And you have posted same post twice so it will confuse the reader so it would be better if you could delete one. Over all, it was a perfect work..enjoy.have fun..
Tshering, the things that i understood are all mentioned in your write up, i got nothing to comment but since we need to analysis base on SWOT, it could have been better if you could have mentioned SWOT!!

ReplyDeleteTshering you have as far as possible tried to write the points in your own words and probably made it much easier and precise for we as the reader to understand and digest it. you also listed the ways it can be useful to the students and clearly compared the program to other tools and so on. Regarding the multimedia it is a bit short, but informative to me. In the third one, you highlighted every points that need to be highlighted, but like many of us you forgot to list down the ways and suggestion on how the teacher can integrate it into the lesson to teach their students. All over it was a good work you have done.
